Join Chef Sarah to kick off Fulton Market Harvest Fest with a one-night only, family-style dinner at Monteverde Restaurant & Pastificio.  Chef Sarah will cook alongside special guests, her fellow “Iron Chef Gauntlet” competitors Chefs Jason Dady and Shota Nakajima. While reminiscing about almost being an “Iron Chef,” the trio will create a four-course menu filled with a bounty of fall’s best ingredients paired with wine. The evening will commence with a cocktail reception, including bubbles from Moet & Chandon.

Tickets are $195 per person, including tax and gratuity. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Chicago Food Depository, 1020 W Madison

Guests will learn how to make 3 classic cocktails with The Betty’s bartender, Julianna Arquilla- a daiquiri, a negroni, and an old fashioned. Julianna will teach guests the history behind these classics drinks as well as the spirits used to make them. Guests will also take home a gift bag with a kit to make another cocktail at home.


Beteta and Fredrickson, two of only 236 Master Sommeliers in the world, will lead you through the Court of Master Sommelier’s blind tasting grid. Novices and experts alike are welcome to participate, and even the beginning wine drinker will learn how to discern the differences between Old World and New World, high acid versus low acid, oaked versus unoaked wine, and more. The interactive class will include plenty of wine to taste, as well as light bites from Publican Quality Meats. Tasting will be peppered with fun wine facts and anecdotes about the wineries. Have any questions you’ve been dying to ask a wine aficionado? Bring your best questions, and pick the brains of two of Chicago’s brightest wine experts! Descriptions and wine tasting notes of each wine tasted will be provided to take home. You’re sure to be the hit at your next wine party after the tips and techniques you’ll learn in this class.
